With the increasing concern regarding the additives and preservatives being added to our food supply, my family and I have decided to promote locally raised, high-grade, grain-finished beef to be sold directly to the consumer.
Our cattle are born and raised on our farm located in the Elmo community of Halifax County, Virginia. Our herd is predominantly Angus influenced. Our cattle are raised in a low stress environment. They are pastured and grain supplemented until the finishing stage which is approximately 60 - 90 days before processing. At this stage, their grain diet becomes more intensified with high quality feeds. It takes up to approximtely 18 months to produce our cattle from birth to your plate.
Our beef is processed by a USDA inspected facility. All our beef from hamburger to filet mignon, is dry aged. This aging process causes the beefs enzymes to breakdown and increases the unique flavor and tenderness of our beef. All beef is vacuum sealed, which locks in flavor and taste, and ensures the quality over a long period of time.
